A Modern Interpretation of Faith and Inheritance

As Chairman of Pertubuhan Penganut Tian Hou Sheng Mu, I’ve always believed that faith is not about blind belief, but about values—respecting heaven, loving people, and finding guidance in life. A temple should never be seen only as a place of worship. To me, it is also a cultural classroom and a sanctuary for spiritual cultivation.

This belief is what inspired me to create AI Mazu. The purpose of this AI system is not to replace tradition but to act as a bridge—helping the younger generation connect with their faith and rediscover the beauty of our culture. Behind every divination lot lies a story, a piece of wisdom passed down through generations. With AI, we can make these narratives easier to understand, preserve, and carry forward.

In many ways, interpreting divination lots is similar to AI analysis—it is the accumulation of experience, knowledge, and wisdom. By combining tradition with technology, my hope is to make the temple a place where young people can reconnect with their values, discover direction in life, and carry forward the essence of Mazu’s teachings.

My own journey reflects this path. I began as a simple devotee, learned from the temple elders, and grew under Mazu’s guidance—eventually becoming a committee member, and now, Chairman. The temple taught me how to interact with people, how to lead with compassion, and how to balance faith with progress.

AI Mazu is my way of honoring those lessons and passing that strength to the next generation—so they too can carry our culture, values, and faith into the future.
